When to book

In December, tables for groups run out before tables for two: a restaurant can fit in a couple at the last minute, not thirty people. If your company already has a date, holding it in November removes most of the problems.

Weekend evenings are the most requested. If the calendar is tight, lunch is a serious alternative: we serve it Monday to Friday, 12:30–15:30, and a Christmas lunch on the last office day also solves the late trip home.

On Saturdays we are open for dinner only (19:00–23:00); we are closed on Sundays.

Budget per person

The bill for a business dinner is decided beforehand, not at the table. A set menu priced per person is the simplest way to keep it under control, and it makes quotes from different restaurants comparable.

At Carpaccio Fish, group menus start at €60 per person. To confirm the booking we ask for a 50% deposit.

Whichever restaurant you choose, ask for it in writing: what does the price include — drinks, cover charge, coffee? That is where two seemingly identical quotes part ways.

The menu: for a group, sharing works better

In a group of colleagues not everyone knows each other, and a dish in the middle of the table starts more conversations than ten individual plates. Our menu lends itself to it: fish carpaccio and tartare to share, then street food — bao, dumplings, lobster spring rolls — and a main from the grill or the comfort zone, such as black cod with miso.

Collect dietary needs beforehand, not on the night: allergies, intolerances, who doesn't eat raw fish. Sending them with your request lets the menu be built once.

The place: central and easy to reach

For a group coming from different offices, getting there matters as much as the food. We are at Via Sicilia 45, steps from Via Veneto: the nearest metro is Barberini (line A), and drivers can use the Garage dell'Hotel Excelsior on Via Veneto.

We welcome groups of up to 80 people. The group dines in the main room, alongside our other guests: the room seats 60, with its parquet floor and pink walls.

What to include in your request

A complete request gets a complete answer first time round. Before writing, put together:

• the date, and a second choice if you have one;
• lunch or dinner;
• the number of guests, even roughly;
• the budget per person;
• the group's allergies, intolerances and preferences;
• invoicing details, if needed.
